Fredericia is already a unique place. As one of the main strategic keypoints of the Danish Kings defenceplan back in 1650, the city is not only blessed with a lovely seaside and a great view all the way to the island of Fyn but also with a comprehensive structure which originates in the rampart surrounding the inner city.
What we want
We want the new part of town to coinside beautifully, naturally but also compellingly with the old part of Fredericia. This puts great demand on the architectural scheme for the new quarter as a whole, as well as for the particular plans and solutions on the different sites in the quarter. We want a daring quarter with a clear and highly appealing identity of its own combined with a great respect for what is already here.
